Countdown to Night 3 at Sydney International Speedway

Jacob Jolly wins Australian Wingless Sprint Championship

Australia #1, Jacob Jolly

Local driver Jacob Jolly emerged victorious at the Australian Wingless Sprint Championship after an intense and thrilling weekend at Castrol Lismore Speedway. This triumph adds to Jolly’s successful season, having previously clinched the NSW Championship. With this latest achievement, Jolly solidifies his position as a top contender in the racing scene.

The victory held special significance for Jolly as he paid tribute to his late uncle and Speedway legend, Paul O’Neill, who played a pivotal role in shaping Jacob’s racing career. Despite facing challenges on the track that led to some cars going airborne and hitting the safety fence, Jolly remained focused and determined throughout the event.

Despite encountering minor setbacks such as a brief shower on Saturday night, the track staff worked tirelessly to ensure optimal racing conditions for all competitors. In a nail-biting finish, Jolly faced stiff competition from Travis Miller and Luke Wheel but ultimately emerged triumphant.

Credit is due to Promoters Mick and Kim Sauer, volunteers, AWSR officials for their exceptional efforts in organizing and running a successful event. Lismore Speedway continues to uphold its reputation as The Home of Champions where memorable moments like these unfold.
